The Twilight Zone

Yesterday afternoon I prepared for my second swim workout of the week!  My workout looked like this:

Warm up: 4x25 yards
Endurance:  7x50 yards
Cool down: 2x25 yards

Then, I decided to partake in the group swim lesson being taught by one of the fitness instructors from my gym.  I felt like a little girl going to camp...I was so nervous for some reason!  However, I learned A TON.  I totally revamped my entire freestyle stroke, and I already feel more streamllined and also more efficient in my stroke.  It's still early though, and I have a lot of practicing to do!

I used to be on the swim team in middle school and then competed as a springboard diver on the swim team in high school, but for whatever reason, I have had an aversion to the swimming pool since my high school days.  I feel as if I'm in the twilight zone, because I had convinced myself for the past 10 years that I hated swimming, but now I absolutely love it.  Maybe even more than running...dare I say it?!  It is so relaxing and also a very tough and rewarding workout!  To top it all off, it's really easy on my joints, so I have no aches and pains afterwards.  Win, win, win!

The feeling that I am in the twilight zone does not stop at my renewed love for swimming.  Apparently it is going to be 100 FRICKIN DEGREES this weekend!  Am I really in New York City?  We are not in Kansas anymore, Toto (or are we?).

The weather is going to be so hot, in fact, that the New York Road Runners organization actually released a heat advisory warning on their website!  Mother Nature is NOT messing around, people.

Lastly, and my favorite weird moment of the day so far, is when I saw some interesting data on my blog.  According to Blogger, some of my blog traffic is coming from Montel William's wikipedia site.  I challenge you all to find something more random than that.  If anyone has an explanation for this, I would be forever grateful.

Seriously?  Montell Williams?  FML.
I'm hoping today brings less heat but more of the same weirdness.  :-)

Questions of the Day:

What is the most weird/random thing that has happened to you lately?

What's the funniest traffic source you have seen directing people to your blog?

Have you ever felt like you have entered the Twilight Zone due to a bunch of weirdness going on around you?

xoxo!
