I apologize to my readers for not posting anything in the past couple days since I have been feeling under the weather, but I am back in action now!
After a riding a bike to and from the beach during my weeklong Cape Cod vacation, I renewed my love for cycling.
My parents had to pry me off my bike when I was younger, but I have definitely neglected this awesome form of exercise for a good 10-15 years. However, since I have experienced several running injuries due to intense training over the past 10 years, I'm starting to realize how important cross-training really is. And that, my friends, is why I am going to run my first sprint triathlon!
My parents have offered to purchase a bike for me as an early birthday present (Sept. 1st! Mark your calendars for this important holiday! jk), and my gym fortunately has an indoor pool, which is not common for most NYC gyms. I am super excited!
The triathlon I may sign up for is a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 3.5 mile run. So for all you triathletes out there, as well as swimmers and cyclists, I would love any advice or input you might have for me! Any good training plans for sprint triathlons?
