John and I spent another whole day at Bayview beach yesterday, soaking up the rays and taking an occasional dip in the calm and peaceful ocean. We had taken our bikes to the beach, but at 5:00, instead of going home, we decided to bike over to one of my favorite restaurant/bar, Chapin's Restaurant.
They have a huge indoor restaurant and separate bar area, but they also have a fun patio area equipped with a fully stocked bar as well as a raw bar.
Since John and I are both
raw bar fanatics, and
seafood fanatics in general, we decided to hang out on the patio so that we could listen to music and order a seafood platter.
The platter we ordered consisted of a variety of mussels, shrimp, and clams, with a side of cocktail sauce and my favorite, horseradish. We both ordered a small cup of clam chowder on the side, and boy was this post-beach meal super tasty!
We then hopped on our bikes to travel back to my beach house. Overall, it was a very relaxing but also healthy and fit day in Cape Cod! I renewed my love for cycling, and now I'm thinking about training for a triathlon. Too bad I don't live on Cape Cod year-round, because it would be the perfect place to train for a triathlon.
I will randomly select the winner of the Kate Spade bangle contest later today, so check back to see if you've won! Good luck!
