Living the dream in Cape Cod - Part II

After a wild and crazy Friday night, we knew that we needed a relaxing day at the beach on Saturday.  So we packed up some sandwiches, and dragged our beach chairs to Bayview beach, the beach that is located approximately 0.5 miles from our house.  It was so incredibly packed with people!  But I can't complain, because it was such a beautiful day.

My sister, Annie, and I decided to throw a ball around in the ocean for some exercise...

...but we were so terrible that we decided to call it quits and go eat sandwiches.  laaazyyyyy.  I settled on my favorite cranberry walnut chicken salad on a whole wheat wrap with lettuce.

One of my favorite things to do is people watch while I'm sitting on the beach, and so it did not take me long to find this beach gem:

Where on Earth do you even find a beach chair like this?!  God bless 'em.

After a long day at the beach, we headed home to get ready for more shenanigans at our neighbor's house for a festive BBQ.  We quickly poured ourselves some Skinnygirl margaritas, and the party started!

Me and my neighbor, Mary Jo

Of course, with alcohol comes more shenanigans.  Annie and I found some sweet 4th of July themed shades, and so it was natural that we had to take pictures.

We clearly love America.

Things quickly escalated, and I'm pretty sure John is now embarrassed to call me his girlfriend.  That is, until I brought him ice cream and all of the other festive goodies we had for dessert.  What I lack in shame, I make up for in baked goods.

It is definitely true that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach...and also maybe through his TV, but for argument's sake, we'll say stomach.

Stay tuned for updates on my crazy vacation!  Today, we are off to Provincetown to hang out with friends and see the fireworks on the beach!  Have a great 4th of July everyone :-)
