|From the funniest blog: Hyperbole and a half|
There were two things I could have done. I could have crawled into a ball, felt bad for myself, and overdosed on Godiva chocolates and rerun episodes of Jersey Shore. YEAH BUDDY! But instead I decided to take the high road, as they say, and let me tell you, that took A LOT of nerve (pun totally intended). I realized that how I reacted to this situation was a true test of how strong of a person I was. I could complain and curse the world, or I could try to take the cards I was dealt, and try to make some life changes and take control of the situation. Have you ever gotten yourself in this kind of life, or health and fitness, situation? Sometimes the best thing is to find a solution and move towards it.
So what was my solution? Work more on my blog, of course! I might not be able to hit up the gym until this pain in the butt (pun also intended) has been nipped in the bud (or the butt?). Then, it's back to the roads. As my friend told me, "be patient with your body, because the roads will always be there." And I can't wait.
